Directions
From the metro station 'Studencheskaya' turn left and walk along Kiyevskaya St. 20, then turn and walk through the second arc. The dormitory (building 33/1) will be right in front of you.
In 2021, by the decision of HSE University Academic Council the dormitory was named after Alexander Aleksakhin.
Infrastructure
Rooms
There are six rooms on the first floor of the dormitory. All other floors have 25 rooms each. Each room is 14.5 square meters.
All rooms are double rooms.
Each room is equpped with a fridge, two beds, two desks, 2-3 chairs, a three-section wardrobe, and 2-3 bedside tables. Students are responsible for cleaning their rooms themselves.
Bathrooms
You will find four toilets, two washrooms, and two shower rooms (men’s and women’s) on each floor.
The dormitory staff cleans the bathrooms every day.
Kitchens
The dormitory is equipped with two kitchens and one dining room on each floor.
Each kitchen includes an electric cooker with four burners, one microwave oven, and a cooler with hot and cold water.
The kitchens are open 24/7.
Students are responsible for cleaning the kitchens, according to a rota.
Laundry rooms, ironing equipment, bedclothes
There are two laundry rooms on the first floor (men’s and women’s), 4 washing machines in each. They can be used 24/7.
If you want an iron or ironing board, ask the administrators on the floor.
Students are provided with: a pillow, a pillow cover, a mattress, a mattress cover, a woolen blanket, a bedspread, and a set of bedclothes: a sheet, a blanket cover, a pillowcase, and a towel.
Bedclothes are changed weekly (on Thursdays).
Study rooms
There are study rooms on floors 3-6, where internet is also available. These rooms are equipped with tables, chairs, internet and electricity outlets.
Internet
Wired Internet and free WiFi are available on all floors.
There are two internet outlets in each room.
Sports and recreation
There is a TV, comfortable armchairs, a vending machine and a ping-pong table in the hall on the first floor.
There are two gyms with weight training equipment on the first floor of the dorm and a gym with equipment for cardio training on the second floor.
There are several sports grounds on campus and a football pitch close to the dorm.
Security and entry regulations
Private security supervises the dorm.
Guards monitor what happens inside the facilities, and video cameras have been installed near the dormitory’s entrance and along its perimeters.
The dormitory is open 24/7 for HSE students.
Parents and guests are allowed in the dorm daily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
