On April 11-12, 2014, the First International Conference ‘Corpus Technologies And Computational Methods in Contemporary Humanities’ - ConCorT Junior – will be taking place at the HSE in Nizhny Novgorod. The application deadline is March 1, 2014.
The HSE Faculty of Humanities (Nizhny Novgorod) and the HSE Faculty of Philology (Moscow) is inviting postgraduate students to participate in the First International Conference ‘Corpus Technologies And Computational Methods in Contemporary Humanities’ - ConCorT Junior.
The conference aims to:
- Present the results of using corpus and digital technologies in linguistic studies;
- Promote the distribution of corpus and other digital methods in the humanities;
- Give young researchers an opportunity to share the results of their research with the academic community.
Topics for discussion:
- Digital language resources: corpora and collections of texts, e-dictionaries and thesauri;
- Corpus technologies in humanities research and teaching;
- Corpus poetics and comparative studies;
- Computer analysis of texts;
- Corpus language education.
Working languages: Russian, English, German.
Depending on the results, we are planning to publish conference papers in a digital peer-reviewed academic journal.
