‘I Know When I Need to Find a Job, I’ll Be Able to Get Assistance at the HSE Career Centre’
On November 22, the atrium of the HSE building on Pokrovsky Boulevard hosted the traditional Career Marathon organised by the Career Development Centre. The main objective of the event was to introduce HSE students to potential employers—companies and their representatives. At the poster session, the university’s students had the opportunity to network with employees of major Russian banks, marketplaces, financial institutions, and IT integrators, gaining valuable first-hand information.
Students and graduates could attend master classes where experts offered advice on solving various case studies, avoiding mistakes in resumes, and expanding one's business horizons. Company representatives also shared tips and tricks on how to become a member of one's dream team. Prizes were awarded to the most active participants, ranging from merchandise to fast-track access to internship opportunities.
The poster session featured a live broadcast of video interviews with employers, during which company representatives answered questions about the structure of internship programmes, the selection procedures involved, factors to consider when choosing a job, and insights on balancing studies and internships.
Numerous major companies were represented at the Career Marathon's poster session, including Alfa-Bank, B1, VTB, DOM.RF, Jet Infosystems, Kept, MTS, MTS FinTech, Sber, Technologies of Trust, OZON, VK Education, Avito, the Bank of Russia, Bellerage, BST, GlowByte, CROC, Kucher Kuleshov Maximenko & Partners, LUKOIL Lubricants company, MGCom, the Government of Moscow, Samolet, Sibur, Sovcombank, Solar, Tinkoff, Fast Forward, hh students, JTI, SBS Consulting, X5, and more.
'This year's Career Marathon brought together over 35 companies representing the Russian labour market and who are prepared to engage in direct dialogue with students,' explains to Olga Gaevskaya, Head of the HSE Office for Alumni Relations and Career Development. 'This event aids students in assessing career prospects, understanding key areas of growth, and possibly exploring new horizons by learning about new companies or innovative sectors within already established market players.'
