HSE University Representative Office Launches Promotion Campaign in the Asia–Pacific Region

The HSE University Representative Office in the Asia–Pacific Region (APR) is launching a campaign to promote academic cooperation opportunities in the region. The programme has been initiated by Bima Ramadhani, head of the representative office, and graduate of HSE University in St Petersburg. The programme focuses on expanding cooperation with both Indonesian universities and other educational institutions within the Asia–Pacific region.

The campaign started with HSE’s participation in the St Petersburg delegation at the Indonesia International Education and Training Expo & Conference 2024 in Jakarta. The expo featured universities from Russia, China, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Malaysia, Thailand, and Germany, with more than 90 institutions in total taking part and over 15,000 guests attending the event. Indonesian university graduates took part in the work of the HSE's representative stand.

As part of the promotion, the delegation of HSE University in St Petersburg, headed by Director Anna Tyshetskaya, held a meeting in the Indonesian capital with the administration of the School of Business and Management of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). The ITB campus in Jakarta is focused on MBA programmes, executive training, and doctoral programmes in English.

The parties outlined their plans to create a unique project for Russian business education — joint international MBA and Executive Education programmes. Future programmes will provide students with the opportunity to study at leading universities in Asia, as well as allowing them to explore business cooperation in the Asia–Pacific region.

Orientation sessions for ITS students were held directly at the HSE University representative office at the Bandung Institute of Technology with the participation of Bima Ramadhani, head of the educational hub. The participants discussed opportunities for obtaining study quotas, entrance tests, and extracurricular and cultural activities for international students.

Anna Tyshetskaya gave open lectures for students of the Mediacommunications Department, speaking about the media preferences of young people, the main trends in media consumption in Russia, and new challenges in the media sphere: the displacement of traditional media by modern media platforms, the transformation of e-commerce platforms into a separate type of media, and the increasing role of influencers and artificial intelligence.

‘This region is strategically important for establishing academic ties between our countries,’ says Anna Tyshetskaya, Director of the HSE University in St Petersburg. ‘It’s important for us that HSE University partners are aware of the opportunities for education and science — both at the university level and at the level of the whole country, and the interesting options for cooperation which we can offer.’
