International conference “Modernization of Governance: Perspectives from Russia and China”
The international conference “Modernization of Governance: Perspectives from Russia and China” was held at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, Higher School of Economics. On September 30, a delegation of scientists from Zhejiang University, China, visited the Higher School of Economics at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs. During the visit, a joint conference as well as a scientific seminar were organized.
Research Seminar by Ivan Bakalov
On May 28, a research seminar at the International Laboratory of World Order Studies and New Regionalism was held. The speaker was Ivan Bakalov is a COFUND Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Fellow at the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences, University of Bremen | Jacobs University. The focus of his research is on studying the concept and theory of power in international relations. His empirical work concerns foreign policymaking in Eastern Europe.

The 1 st June on HSE and University of London Parallel Degree Programme in International Relations, the round table was held, which was devoted to issues of academic culture and different experience in education process in the USA and Russia.
Russia and China Becoming Closer
On July 3-10, the IV International Russian-Chinese Summer School on International Relations, ‘Space and Time in the Eurasian Era,’ took place in Moscow. The event was organized by the HSE and East China Normal University. A total of 15 Russian and 12 Chinese students are taking part in the summer school. The summer school, whose working language is English, is intended for undergraduate and graduate students from Russia and China that are interested in international relations.
