  • The Future at HSE: STUDENT NIGHT 2025

    Thousands of participants, top-tier speakers, reunions with friends, and a dance party—all of this came together to make the traditional HSE festival. STUDENT NIGHT took place on January 24–25, 2025 at the Pokrovka campus, where contests were followed by extracurricular lectures, and master classes alternated with stand-up performances and dance battles.

  • ‘One Must Possess Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies to Build a Successful Business in Eastern Markets’

    HSE University’s Eastern Perspective expert club has held its first event—a business session dedicated to developing successful businesses in India. The club was created by HSE experts to discuss tools, trends, and insights for cooperation between Russia and countries in Southeast Asia, the Middle and Near East, and North Africa. The event featured experts with years of experience working in the Indian market on behalf of major corporations.

  • Friendship and Love, Victory and Defeat at the Winter Screening of HSE Student Animations

    On January 30, the Rovesnik bar will host a screening of outstanding animations by students of the HSE Art and Design School. The programme features more than forty animated works exploring the themes of friendship and love, victory and defeat, and simply fun stories. In addition to artistic animations, visitors will be able to see advertisements, promos, and videos for nonprofit organisations. All of these works were created by students based on briefs from real clients.

  • ‘Close Technologies’: Exhibition on Digital Sensorics Opens at Tula Machine Tool Museum

    Until March 16, 2025, the Machine Tool Museum, located in the Oktava creative industrial cluster, is hosting an exhibition organised by curators from the HSE Art and Design School. The exhibition explores the phenomenon of multisensoriality and features projects by the school's teachers.

  • Independent Experts More Effective Than Collective Expertise in Decision-Making Under Uncertainty

    A collaborative study by Sergey Stepanov, Associate Professor at the HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences, and experts from INSEAD Business School and NYU Shanghai, indicates that in making decisions under high uncertainty, where it is unclear which choice is superior, advice from independent experts may be more beneficial than a collective opinion from a group of experts. The study has been published in Games and Economic Behavior.

  • ‘Many Want to Create AI-Based Products and Become More Competitive’

    In 2024, the online Russian-taught master’s programme ‘Artificial Intelligence,’ offered by the HSE Faculty of Computer Science, saw a record number of first-year students—over 300. What accounts for such a high interest in AI, how the curriculum is structured, and what new skills will graduates acquire? Elena Kantonistova, the programme’s academic director, shares more.
