Russian Scientists Demonstrate How Disorder Contributes to Emergence of Unusual Superconductivity
Researchers at HSE University and MIPT have investigated how the composition of electrons in a superconductor influences the emergence of intertype superconductivity. The scientists discovered that the region of intertype superconductivity not only persists but can also expand in materials with a high concentration of impurities and defects. In the future, these superconductors could contribute to the development of highly sensitive sensors and detectors.
Independent Quality Assessment of Education at HSE: ‘The Efforts of the University Administration and Student Community Are Paying Off’
In 2024, the HSE campuses in Moscow, St Petersburg, and Perm participated in an independent quality assessment of educational conditions (NOK). This is the university’s second quality assessment since the introduction of the procedure in Russia.
Megascience, AI, and Supercomputers: HSE Expands Cooperation with JINR
Experts in computer technology from HSE University and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) discussed collaboration and joint projects at a meeting held at the Meshcheryakov Laboratory of Information Technologies (MLIT). In February, HSE University hosted ‘IT Session: Immersion in the Data World’, a winter school on analytics and data science organised by the Continuing Education Centre of the Faculty of Computer Science. The participants attended lectures by speakers from Yandex, T-Bank, MTS, Okko, Kuper, Avito, Bank of Russia, Beeline, as well as FCS experts.
Quantum Superconductivity and Metamaterials: HSE MIEM’s Developments Presented at Future Technologies Forum
This year, the Future Technologies Forum focused on new materials and chemistry. Alexei Vagov from the HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics, discussed developments in quantum superconducting electronics and the creation of high-entropy materials for energy storage and perovskite solar panels.
