The HSE Faculty of Law hosted an online meeting with law schools and expert centres from BRICS countries. At the initiative of the Dean of the Faculty of Law Vadim Vinogradov, a Consortium of BRICS Law Schools was established, comprising representatives of leading higher education institutions from a number of countries.

Forbes Education has released a new ranking of the top 20 Russian universities with the most trusted degrees, based on a survey of the country's leading companies. HSE University tops the list, followed by Lomonosov Moscow State University, Saint Petersburg State University, and Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

In doubles tennis, choosing the right strategy for a match is crucial. Athletes' ability to adapt to the dynamics of the match and choose the server can earn more points, according to Nikolai Avkhimovich, doctoral student and research fellow at the Laboratory of Sports Studies of the HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences. A paper with the study findings has been published in Applied Economics.

The Data Culture Project, a module of the educational programme at HSE University, was launched seven years ago. Thousands of students have since participated in the project's courses, and now it has expanded to all HSE campuses. In 2024, a total of 26,903 students passed independent exams on digital skills. Several updates to the course are planned for the upcoming academic year. 

On June 26 and 27, HSE University at Pokrovka hosted a discussion of potential partnerships between the university's research teams and strategic projects under the Priority 2030 programme. During the two-day session, the heads of strategic projects presented the main areas of their ongoing research, highlighted some of the key results achieved, and shared their vision for involving new researchers in the projects.

In the heart of Moscow, the unique historical mansion of the late 18th century—the Durasov House on Pokrovsky Bulvar, which is part of the HSE University campus—has opened its doors as a wedding venue. Throughout the summer, HSE students and staff can now celebrate one of the most significant moments of their lives within the walls of their beloved university.

On July 3, 2024, the International Preparatory Year programme held its graduation ceremony. This academic year, 215 students (150 on state-funded and 65 on fee-paying places) from over 50 countries were enrolled in the programme. Graduates from Nigeria, Sudan, and Vietnam shared their impressions with the HSE News Service. Alexandra Nazarchuk, Director of the International Preparatory Year Programme talked about their achievements and plans for the coming year.

The Moscow City Tourism Committee and HSE Art and Design School invite young directors, animators, cameramen, and other authors working with video to participate in the International Competition of Short Videos about Cities. The contest is organised on the platform of HSE Art and Design School and the Creative City Project of the Institute of Creative Industries in the framework of the ‘Territory of the Future’ Moscow forum and festival.
