Real-time strategy (RTS) is a popular genre of modern computer games. During the gameplay, the player manages the extraction of resources and their distribution between investments in mining facilities, production facilities, new technologies and combat units. In parallel with the conduct of economic activities, the player is also required to manage the army in real time.This report will present- A brief overview of the structure of modern RTS games, the gaming and competitive community, as well as current research tasks in this area.- Approaches to mathematical modeling of battles of heterogeneous armies; ways of setting and solving problems of optimizing the composition of the army; principles for making economic and strategic decisions by players.
