On Wednesday, February 14, the National Research University Higher School of Economics hosted a seminar "Expert opinion and data analysis".
Theme: Comparative analysis of indices of structural changes in the economy through the prism of cyclical development
Annotation:
One of the key factors in the development of the modern economy is instability. Our civilization at this stage is in a state of certain permanent upheavals, therefore, in recent years, the study of economic dynamics has been the basis of all economic processes.The author examined the GDP of the Russian Federation, India, the USA, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Iran and other countries from 1993 to 2021 to identify structural changes, their assessment and synchronization. Identification of structural shifts in time series increases the accuracy of parameter estimation and forecast accuracy, since methods of analysis and forecasting of non-stationary time series are based on the assumption of the absence of structural changes and outliers during the observation interval.
