Faculty of Economic Sciences Welcomes New Partner Universities from Ghana
HSE University Faculty of Economic Sciences took an active part in International Partners’ Week, just finished at HSE. The week was attended by representatives of 23 countries, including the new partners of the Faculty of Economic Sciences - the University of Cape Coast and the University of Ghana. One of the purposes of the visit of representatives of Ghanaian universities was to sign the MOU’s with HSE University. Agreements will enable academic and cultural cooperation between universities, as well as establish academic exchanges.
‘This Internship is a Great Start to an Academic Career’
This year, Angelina Yudina graduated from the Bachelor’s in Business Informatics at HSE University and enrolled in the Master’s in Economics and Economic Policy. She has also worked as a research assistant at the International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis since May 2021. In her interview, Angelina spoke about her role and responsibilities as a research intern, the personal and professional skills she has developed, and her plans for the future.
I Want to Return to Russia for Other Projects or a Master’s Degree
Yogender Singh and Samarth Singh are second-year undergraduate students at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Without official partnership between the two universities, both Yogender and Samarth took the initiative to apply to HSE themselves. This summer, they are completing two-month research internships at the HSE International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis, under the wings of Professor Fuad Aleskerov.
Photo Exhibition Opens at Shabolovka Campus
Twelve photographs of Moscow landmarks and skyline made in summer by Johnson Chow Chun Shing, an intern at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, are currently on display at Shabolvoka building. Participants of the Autumn School "Modern Trends in Decision Theory" were invited to the gala opening and were the first guests of the exhibition. The Faculty of Economic Sciences' Dean, Oleg Zamulin welcomed the guests, and, together with the International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis Head Professor Fuad Aleskerov cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.
Kenneth Arrow Dies at 95
Kenneth Joseph Arrow, who was an Honorary Professor of the Higher School of Economics and a Nobel Prize-winning economist, passed away on Tuesday, February 21st. He was 95.
