Four alumni of the HSE Graduate School of Business have been included in Forbes “30 under 30” long-list. One of the GSB's goals is to educate future leaders capable of changing corporations and the world. Margarita Stukova is the finance director of the figital service at the Samolet Plus company and a 2017 graduate of the “Management” programme. Margarita started her career at the university as an assistant professor in mathematical statistics, then completed Severstal's leadership programme in Cherepovets, after which she headed the controlling department of the raw materials processing and sales unit. Having joined the developer Samolet as the Head of the economics department, Margarita rose to become CFO of the corporation's separate business, Samolet Plus, in three months.
Sergey Smetanin works as head of the generative AI team at Snap Inc. and in 2018 he graduated from the master's programme “Electronic Business and Digital Innovation”. Sergey has written a large number of research papers in the field of machine learning and has authored several patents. In his student days, he successfully participated in many competitions - he won the International Olympiad “IT-Planet” and became a scholarship holder of the Potanin Foundation, won the Google Material Design Award and Moscow Travel Hack. Smetanin started his career as a developer, then became a team leader in mobile application development. Sergey joined Snap Inc. as a developer, then headed one of the projects as a manager, and in mid-2022 became head of the AI technology team.
Vadim Koleoshkin, co-founder of DeFi start-up Zerion, completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in the “Business Informatics” programme in 2017. The programme provides interdisciplinary knowledge and skills at the intersection of economics, management, IT and business administration. In 2020, Vadim won the HSE Alumni Awards in the Private Business category with Zerion project — his decentralised finance platform. Zerion is an investment application that allows anyone anywhere in the world access to a set of new financial products and services built on DeFi.
Sergey Filatov is a global product analytics leader at Qatar Insurance Company. He graduated from “Business Informatics” in 2016 and then completed a Masters in Finance. Sergey is the author of courses on various educational platforms on marketing analytics. He started his career as a project manager at MTS, then worked as chief product analyst at SberMegaMarket, senior CIS analyst at Estée Lauder, and in 2022 was invited to join the largest insurance company in the Middle East, Qatar Insurance Company.
