The programme in Chinese Language, Literature and Culture follows and develops the traditions of classical European Chinese Studies. It trains professionals in the study of Chinese language, literature and culture with a focus on historical continuity between millennia-long cultural traditions and their interpretation in today’s world.

The programme is centred around courses in contemporary and classical Chinese language, the history of the Chinese language, as well as the region’s literature, history, religion and folklore.
