Alumni Reviews

  • I remember those four turbulent years of study with such pleasure and joy. The warmth of my classmates, teachers and the administrative staff of the Faculty that surrounded us during those four years. I want to preserve this feeling for as long as possible.

Without a doubt, the most memorable experience for me was the study abroad experience in my third year. Words cannot express how much I treasure that experience. With my fellow students, we often think back to our dormitory in Korea. To those seemingly ordinary and boring days when we just went out for dinner after couples or went to a nearby establishment for coffee. It was such a unique learning experience to be around people with whom one can spend hours debating which restaurant near the dorm was the most delicious, or who made the most special mealin the communal kitchen.

  • The programme is structured so that you learn the necessary disciplines about East Asian economics and politics and develop an understanding of how economics, international relations and society work in the region. I enjoyed the range of subjects the programme provided, and the first two years were particularly effective in structuring all the knowledge. My year abroad in Korea was during the post-pandemic period, but it was a very colourful and fulfilling experience for me. It was a time full of pleasant memories, new acquaintances and new discoveries.

  • I believe that studying here has given me a lot of new knowledge I cannot find elsewhere. I would like to point out that in addition to the material from the textbook, the professors mainly use their own experience in their teaching. This may not seem much to some, but for me personally it is very important how much the professor 'lives', i.e. shares his experience relevant to the course. This helped me remember lecture and seminar material. The study abroad, of course, was unforgettable. Nothing brings people together like shared experiences. During the study abroad in Korea and Japan, there were a lot. Culture, language, customs, way of life, everything was different. And how many amusing adventures we had!
