Regulations on Tuition Fee Discounts Provided to Students in the Bachelor’s Programme 41.03.01 “Foreign Studies” and 41.03.06 “Public Policy and Social Sciences” - HSE and Kyung Hee University Double Degree Programme in Economics and Politics in Asia, enrolled at National Research University Higher School of Economics in 2024.

1. Discount types:

  • per the Results of Programme Admission;
  • per Students’ Results under the Programme.

2. Number of discounts provided for applicants and students of the Programme:

25% following 5% of students based on the latest cumulative student rating before the date when the discount is fixed, ranked below those who are entitled to 70% and 50% discounts
20% following 5% of students based on the latest cumulative student rating before the date when the discount is fixed, ranked below those who are entitled to 70%, 50%, and 25% discounts
15% following 7% of students based on the latest cumulative student rating before the date when the discount is fixed, ranked below those who are entitled to 70%, 50%, 25%, and 20% discounts
10% following 10% of students based on the latest cumulative student rating before the date when the discount is fixed, ranked below those who are entitled to 70%, 50%, 25%, 20%, and 15% discounts
5% following 20% of students based on the latest cumulative student rating before the date when the discount is fixed, ranked below those who are entitled to 70%, 50%, 25%, 20%, 15%, and 10% discounts

Every second student of the Programme receives a discount during the training at HSE. The cost of training for the third year of study is charged directly by Kyung Hee University.


Scholarship Information at Kyung Hee University

Students studying at Kyung Hee University in their third year will receive scholarships based on the Normalized Credit-based Rating Score (NCRS) accumulated over the two-year study period at HSE. Recipients will be selected and announced after the fall semester each year.


<Scholarship Criteria>

  • 1st place: 25% of the annual tuition fee (KRW)
  • 2nd & 3rd place: 20% of the annual tuition fee (KRW)
  • Top 20% (excluding 1st to 3rd place):
    (2% of the total tuition amount - scholarships for 1st to 3rd place students) ÷ n (Top 20% students)

*Example:
If 150 students proceed to Kyung Hee University and the annual tuition fee is 16,000,000 KRW:

  • 1st place (1 student): 4,000,000 KRW
  • 2nd & 3rd place (1 student each): 3,200,000 KRW
  • 4th to 30th place (27 students): 1,392,590 KRW

※ This is only an example, and the amount of scholarship and students who may get the scholarship may vary each year depending on the tuition fee and the number of students.


<Scholarship Payment Method>
Scholarships will be disbursed directly to the student’s Korean bank account after the evaluation is completed, around December to January.
All students will be guided to open a Korean bank account at the beginning of the semester after entering Kyung Hee University.


<Exclusion from Scholarship Eligibility>
Students who violate KHU regulations, including academic misconduct, violent behavior, or involvement in illegal activities, will be ineligible for the scholarship. Disciplinary action for such violations will result in exclusion from consideration.
