Russian-UK Student Economic Forum in Sochi Reaches Completion
The forum brought together students from ICEF and other HSE faculties, as well as Lomonosov Moscow State University, European University at St. Petersburg, Far Eastern Federal University, the London School of Economics and University of Glasgow. They took active part in discussions in regards to economic development.

On September 15, a gala event was held for the 20th anniversary of the International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF) at Pushkin Literary Museum in Moscow. In attendance were the heads of Higher School of Economics (HSE), the University of London (UoL) and London School of Economics (LSE), as well as representatives of academia and the business community, ICEF faculty and, of course, its alumni.
Prominent Scholars from University of London and London School of Economics Receive HSE Awards
On September 15, HSE Rector Yaroslav Kuzminov awarded medals and honorary certificates to prominent scholars from the University of London (UoL) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) at the 20th anniversary celebration of the ICEF HSE.

‘Nowhere Have I Enjoyed Teaching More Than in Russia’
On July 24, the results of the Best Teachers 2017 competition at HSE were announced, with more than 500 teachers from across the university being recognized by students, 80% of whom voted in this year’s competition. While the financial reward for recognition is certainly attractive, the teachers who won appreciated the support of students, as well as the opportunity to reflect on their careers and what has made them successful.
'HSE ICEF Has a Diverse Team of Enthusiastic People'
As described by one of the original ICEF team members, Oleg Zamkov, ICEF Deputy Director and Academic Head of HSE and University of London Double Degree Programme in Economics, the success of ICEF was in choosing the right moment for the start and finding the right people, both academics and administrators. It would also be unimaginable without the advice and support from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), especially Richard Layard, who helped design several key elements of the curriculum for double degree programme, Richard Jackmanand Amos Witztum who made a significant contribution to ICEF idea implementation.
