The world in the palm of your hand: Open Air 2024

On July 6, the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs held its traditional Open Air event. Representatives from all the faculty programmes gathered in the cozy courtyard of the building at Malaya Ordynka 17 to talk with prospective students, host engaging competitions, and create unforgettable experiences for all the guests.

Representatives of the International Relations and Global Studies programme (IRGS) also participated in the event. Throughout the evening, Oleg Korneev, Nicole Bodishtyanu, and Elizaveta Zakharova, along with volunteers from the StudActive organization, answered questions from prospective students and organized unusual competitions. All attendees had an opportunity to try to answer questions drawn from a lottery drum. These questions were related to interesting facts about geopolitics, history, international relations, and other areas of world politics. Guests could also embark on an engaging and educational journey through different parts of the world, from Ibero-America to East Asia, without leaving HSE.

Some students from the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs addressed to the audience and presented their inspriring talks. IRGS graduate Anastasia Stebletsova also gave a motivational speech, sharing her experiences of choosing the programme, and the skills and knowledge she gained during her studies. Nastya graduated with honors and has already been accepted into a master’s programme. She is going to continue her academic and professional career in international business, and we wish her good luck.
