Rector’s Greetings on HSE Day 2015
Dear friends,
This year marks the fourth time we have held HSE Day, which means that an entire generation of HSE students has begun each academic year with this celebration. For them, a September focused on student life is impossible without HSE Day. We can now say that this university tradition has fully evolved.
The university community has grown considerably over the last several years. The number of newly enrolled students is increasing, new programmes are being launched, and the Lyceum, which enrolled as many as 750 tenth-graders this year, has become an essential part of HSE. Our community also includes the graduates of our Open University, attended by hundreds of Muscovites of various ages and professions. I’m happy that we have the opportunity to bring this huge community together once a year; HSE Day is the day when everyone from all our buildings across Moscow are only a couple steps away from each other and when the whole Moscow campus can be found within one park.
I hope that each of you, and especially each of our numerous first-year students, finds something in this great festival programme that is interesting enough for it to grow into a serious passion in the years ahead. I hope that all of you meet good friends and feel yourselves part of our vast and strong university family.
Congratulations, dear HSE family, and see you in the Gorky Park!
