Student Research Paper Competition 2020 Accepting Submissions
Any student or 2020 graduate of a Russian or international university is eligible to take part in the Student Research Paper Competition. Papers can be submitted from September 1 to October 15. The competition has been held at HSE University since 2003.

HSE Jessup Team Is the Finalist of the Jessup Russian Championship
On 2 February 2020, MGIMO hosted the Final Round of the Russian National Championship of the Jessup Competition, one of the most prestigious law competitions globally. The HSE University team (Moscow) appeared in the Final Round of the National Championshipfor the first time since 2017, and came as a Russian Runner-Up, after the champions of this year, the MGIMO team.

HSE has hosted its graduation ceremony for students of the international programme French (European) Economic Law, which the university carries out in conjunction with long-time HSE partner Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. HSE Vice Rector Sergey Roshchin gave out the diplomas, as did Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne leadership, a first in the programme’s history.

New Registration Rules Now in Place for Foreign Citizens in Russia
On July 8, amendments to Russian migration legislation regulating the registration of foreign citizens coming to the Russian Federation came into effect. They concern, in particular, HSE’s international employees and students. The most important change: you now must be registered at the place where you actually live.
HSE Teams Take Top Prizes at International Criminal Moot Court
On May 31, the final round of the Russian-speaking ICC (International Criminal Court) Moot Court Competition took place in The Hague. Student teams from HSE’s Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow campuses came second and third respectively, and a fourth-year student from the Faculty of Law in Nizhny Novgorod received the ‘Best Speaker’ award.
Increased State Academic Scholarship: What Сhanges Can We Expect?
Applications for the Increased State Academic Scholarship open in May. The main changes to the scholarships to be awarded this summer concern those for social achievements. Students receiving Russian government scholarships (quotas) are eligible to apply. Increased State Academic Scholarship is not applicable for students who pay for their tution.
