HSE University to Host All-Russian Student's Tournament of Physicists for the First Time
The All-Russian Student's Tournament of Physicists is a competition in which teams of students from different universities offer their solutions to problems and defend them before rival teams. The HSE University Faculty of Physics traditionally participates in the organisation of the competition and task development. This year, on February 13–17, the tournament will be held at HSE University for the first time. It will include two rounds—the qualifiers and the final. In the final round, three teams and their captains will compete with each other.
‘Students at HSE University’s Faculty of Physics Receive a World-Class Education’
On October 10, 2016, the Faculty of Physics was created at HSE University. It was the university’s first natural science faculty. Its first master’s students graduated in 2019, its first bachelor’s students completed their studies in 2021, and the first doctoral students will do the same in 2023 after beginning their bachelor’s studies in 2017. Students in the Faculty of Physics Take Third Place at All-Russian Student Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics
They took third place in team competitions and received II and III level certificates in the personal competition. The Olympiad was held in Kazan, with 106 students from 30 Russian university teams taking part in individual and team competitions (theoretical and computer).
