Course Syllabus

Abstract

The goal of this discipline is to develop students' scientifically justified understanding of the objective processes occurring in the field of companies' foreign economic activities, which are influenced by external challenges (protectionism, pandemic, Ukrainian conflict). This discipline involves studying modern forms and trends in the development of international economic relations as a global system of interconnections that encompasses the world economy. Special attention is paid to the practice of organizing and implementing international trade operations, which allows students to gain an understanding of the content of foreign trade commercial activities. This is necessary for making managerial decisions in the field of trade regulation at the state and company level. Approaches to the main categories, concepts and principles of carrying out foreign economic activities at the company level are studied. Discipline allows students to develop tactics and strategies for a firm's behavior in a transaction, interpreting the results, formulating the peculiarities of different companies’ behavior on the global market, analyzing emerging problems and finding optimal solutions.

  • To have an ability to make decisions regarding the choice of forms and methods of transactions, taking into account the associated risks;
  • To have an ability to use theoretical knowledge language in analyzing specific situations.
