In 2017, life expectancy at birth for both sexes increased to 72.7 years. In January-June, 2018, mortality from neoplasms and diseases of the digestive, nervous and endocrine systems increased. Mortality from external causes decreased by 4% compared to the first half of 2017. Among those who died in 2017 of some infectious and parasitic diseases, 64% had not reached the age of 45; among those who died from external causes - 44%.
