Far-right parties play a very important role in the current context of European politics . If we consider the main trends of evolution of the far-right parties and movements in modern Europe, we will see that over the past few decades they have increased their influence in European countries. Far-right parties got seats in many parliaments of their countries and also were able to achieve success on the European parliament elections in 2004 and 2009. The main goal of the work is the detection the reasons of why the far-right parties are the strongest and the most developing movement in the current context of European politics. To identify these reasons, we also fulfill certain different tasks:to analyze the scientific literature about the far-right parties;to analyze articles, programs and presentations of radical right parties members;to provide a general description of far-right movements;to analyze the history of the results obtained by radical right parties in different countries. In the conclusion of the diploma paper we identified some important reasons contributed to the increase in popularity of the far-right parties:The far-right parties affect the most important issues and challenges faced by EU and also protect the traditional values of European countries;Masses support the far-right parties which offer more radical solutions, because traditional political parties do not solve problems faced by EU countries in the late XX – early XXI centuries; The economic crisis, the decline in fertility, the increase in crime, eurointegration, - all the listed challenges contributed to the increase in popularity of the far-right parties; The far-right parties have a strong position against Islam and they also criticize the current immigration policy. Criticism of Islam and growing number of immigrants in European countries became the specialty of the far-right parties; The far-right parties have been the major advocates of cultural and national identity in European countries It is not just a protest that more and more voters have chosen far-right parties on elections. It is an evidence that citizens support their political platform. As soon as these parties will gain a political strength and increase their representation in the power structures of European countries and in the EU, the European political landscape will be changed. Already now, we can confidently say that the far-right parties leaved the marginal zone of European politics. This is the latest trend in the current context of European politics.
