Conflict of interests as a problem of marketing policy in medical equipment and medicine's promotion

<p style="text-align: justify;">Abstract: With every year growing concern has focused on the relationship between health professionals and the pharmaceutical industry - particularly, the influence of the pharmaceutical industry on the prescribing and dispensing drugs and solutions to physicians using a variety of promotional tools, which can have a negative impact on the rational treatment choices.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In this work we attempt to assess foreign and Russian experience in regulating conflict of interests in the marketing policy of medical equipment and medicine&rsquo;s promotion during the interaction of physicians and medical representatives. Also attempt to identify opportunities, constraints and trends of monitoring and management for conflict of interests in professional social networks for physicians with e-Detailing services. E-Detailing service is presented as the innovative model of marketing communication between physicians and medical representatives of pharmaceutical companies to transfer professional information using the Internet and electronic media.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; As a result in our work we have studied and analyzed several views of the Moscow practicing physicians about the introduction of professional Internet communication programs with e-Detailing in everyday medical activities as a tool for management and control of conflicts of interests.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Finally, we have developed and proposed some recommendations to address the issue of conflict of interests in marketing policy in medical equipment and medicine&rsquo;s promotion in the Russian Federation.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Thereby, studying and analyzing this question, we can conclude that there are a number of important aspects of conflict of interests in medicine, which are necessary to control by the special competence in the field of organization and understanding of current medical activity.<br />&nbsp;</p>
