The Movement of History Reconstruction in Russia at the End of XX – Beginning of XXI Century

<p>The study analyzes the historical reconstruction in Russia in the end of XX &ndash; beginning of XXI century. The historical reconstruction is considered in connection with public history and socially oriented history, which at the turn of XX&ndash;XXI centuries constitute a significant segment of historical knowledge, different from actual scientific investigation, and the scope of historical reconstruction, close to the experimental history, is identified.</p><p>The purpose of the work is to describe the historical reconstruction, identifying causes, stages of development, as well as the structure and future prospects.</p><p>Object of research &ndash; the historical reconstruction as a form of contemporary historical knowledge. The subject &ndash; production and positioning of historical knowledge in the form of historical reconstruction.</p><p>The study utilizes a method historiographical analysis, based on the idea that the historical reconstruction occurs as a reaction to historiographical and social-cultural situation of the turn of XX&ndash;XXI centuries and should be considered in historical and cultural contexts.</p><p>The source base of the work amounted to electronic resources &ndash; sites of historical clubs and inter-associations; base of interviews with managers of clubs and individual representatives, created in the course of the research, and a survey of members of the movement of historical reconstruction.</p>
