Working Behavior Strategies of Women after childbirth

<p>This study focused on the following issues: What does happen when a woman after childbirth enters the labor market? What kind of work strategy does take a woman after childbirth? What form of employment does she prefer? Why does she make such choice? What factors influence her choice? Thereby I tried to identify and describe the basic working strategies of women after childbirth and to define their determinants.</p><p>The aim of this study is to identify the grounds of choosing a particular work strategy. To achieve this goal an empirical study was conducted. The empirical research consisted of two phases. In the first part a qualitative investigation was conducted. In-depth interviews were used as a method of data collection. Using this method of gathering information key existing strategies of the work behavior and motives of choosing them were highlighted. Based on the data of the first part a questionnaire was elaborated and then the quantitative research phase was conducted. The goal of quantitative stage of the study is formulated as follows: Identification of independent factors, those affect the choice of strategy work behavior.</p><p>By analyzing the existing researches categories of employment characteristics which include employment stability, employment status (according to the degree of autonomy), registration of labor relations, the level of workload, schedule flexibility and availability of overtime were highlighted. Besides that the motives influencing the decision of to work or not to work after childbirth were identified. Also managed to reveal factors affecting the employment of women. The fact that the woman works after childbirth, determined by her total experience, conformity work before childbirth her specialty, the presence of a managerial position and job satisfaction before the childbirth.</p><p>Results obtained in this study can be interesting and useful for a better understanding of bases of the working strategy selection. It is necessary to provide a qualitative social policy to support women with babies.</p>
