Production System Development on the Basis of Lean Management Principles

Nowadays there exists a tendency when the majority of companies from different countries widely introduce the concept of lean management to reach stability and development in the conditions of fierce competition. The production system, within the framework of lean management, is based on constant aspiration to eliminate all types of waste. Thus, the concept of lean management allows the companies to achieve considerable achievements in constantly changing conditions of the market and take the leading positions among competitors. This research considers the production system within the framework of lean management with the example of a certain company - «Novomet»; it also offers a number of recommendations concerning optimization of this system. For the process of optimization and development of programs for elimination of the revealed losses instruments of "lean management" have been used. At the initial stage of research "waste" in a production system has been revealed. Further the detailed analysis of main types of waste in a chain of value creation for the purpose of further elimination has been carried out. During research detailed has studied a current state of production cycle. Later the program of recommendations directed to elimination of the revealed waste has been developed and also the extending «Kanban» system for the purpose of creation of a flexible production system has been implemented, then the card of future state on production has been constructed.
