S.A.Yuriev was one of the most known cultural workers at the end of XIX century whose influence is evident in different fields from the astronomy and mathematics till literature and theatre. The current project attempts to cast a new light on his biography, to analyse his research works and translations from Spanish into Russian in order to establish his impact upon Russian theatre stage in the late XIX century.
