Modern Approaches in Assessing the Efficiency of Logistics Systems

This final qualification work is devoted to logistics systems and its assessment investigation. This assessment is divided into two modern approaches and the relevant methods and models. The main purpose of the study is creation a model of evaluation of logistics system efficiency at the construction company; and development of recommendation for model’s implementation. The research methods are employed in the study include a theoretical analysis of the literature, connected with topic; the methods for assessment of logistics system effectiveness comparison; SWOT-analysis; Balanced Scorecard model; Strategic Profit model; method of ratings. In order to achieve the main goal of the study the analysis of the logistics terms is conducted. A particular attention is paid to types and destination of logistics systems. Also the efficiency of systems and the internal and external factors which affect on it were considered. Central part of the theoretical investigation is devoted to description of the specific approaches to assessment effectiveness, and its relevant methods, which are used in this work. The practical part of the study connected with a system of key performance indicators development for the procurement process of the construction company, which is included at the logistics system. The process, the level of its maturity, the main problems are analyzed. Because of the absence of systematic controlling of logistics activity it is necessary to offer the plan of implementation the system in practice. Such plan involves the formalization and regulation of processes in the company; the system of motivation for personnel establishment in order to reach target level.
