The accurate estimations during the research of a verse have been based for systematic development only at the beginning of the 20th century for the first time. There is a lot of the works devoted to statistical researches of distribution of metric systems in poetry 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. In my diploma I would like to carry on this tradition, but for the creations of the 21st century (selection has been confined to the professional poetry). The purpose of this research is to carry out the statistical analysis of distribution of various metric systems in the modern professional poetry and to compare the obtained data with already available materials.
