Automatic Speech Recognition for the Dialect of the Ustjan Region of the Arkhangelsk Oblast

Automatic speech recognition is an area of ongoing research and development. However, the majority of the existing speech recognition applications is developed exclusively for major languages, while for many other (minor) languages nothing is still has been done in this direction. The present paper is attempted to fill this gap with regard to one of the Northern Russian dialects, namely for the dialect spoken in the Ustjan district of the Arkhangelsk region, on the border with Vologda region.
