The Transformation of Economic Elite in Attached Territories. (The Case of the Republic of Crimea)

This work claims the phenomena of the regional elite as the main social indicator. Despite the numerous existing Russian and foreign articles devoted to this issue, the nature of the economic elite of the Crimea remains predominantly unstudied by sociological researches. Scientific novelty of this work is explained by transformation of the regional economic Crimea elite after a transfer of the region to Russia in 2014. This paper draws on structure-biographical analysis aimed to directors and founders of the largest regional companies and. Also, study involves the analysis of organizations’ changes after incorporation of the region to Russia in 2014. The results of the transformation analysis of the Crimea economic elite allow to identify the measure of Crimea transfer’s influence. The research founding also gives information about the regional structure and its processes.
