The Formation of a Statement about Profession in the Process of Professional Socialization of Cadets of Military Higher University

Master's thesis is devoted to the socialization professional process of cadets of higher military university and the formation of representations about the profession military officers. A sufficient number of scientific publications has been devoted to the study of the soldiers as a social group, but in connection with modernization processes in the armed forces of the Russian Federation, new fix points of investigating cadets as future professionals. The object is cadets of higher military university, and the subject is the formation of representations about the profession in the process of professional socialization of cadets. Professional socialization is considered as a process of formation and updating of professional knowledge, skills necessary for the realization of professional activities. Based on Hughes' theory, the following environments: family, public influence, friendship, education and soldering, which form representation about the profession. Within each environment, there are officials, material accessories, and clusters of conventions that affect how cadets represent their future profession. In addition, the author outlined the motives for entry to a military university and the prospective career trajectories of cadets, analyzed the representation of cadets about the profession before and after entry to a military university.
