The Role of the Staff's Motivation Profile in Shaping of the Company's Organizational Culture

Theme of the final qualifying work – the role of the staff’s motivation profile in shaping of the company’s organizational culture. The relevance of the research is that the introduction of new incentive systems is useless, since staff’s resistance generated by the leading values and attitudes of the organizational culture, makes their functioning impossible. Thus, to build effective system of motivation of labor it is necessary not only to consider the motivation itself, but also its relationship with the organizational culture. Thus, to build an effective system of labor motivation should not only be considered as such, but motivation and its relationship with organizational culture. The main research problem is as follows: the obvious interconnection between the type of organizational culture and staff’s motivation profile. The main steps to solve the problem were: • Diagnosis of organizational culture. • Definition of the staff’s motivational profile. • Definition of the correlation between the type of organizational culture and the staff’s motivational profile. • Evaluation of employee satisfaction with the motivation system and its correlation to organizational culture. The result of our research is the correlation between the culture oriented to problem solutions and the instrumental and professional motivational types. In conclusion, recommendations were made to optimize the motivation system for the identified type of organizational culture - the task culture. That is why, organizational culture should be considered in interrelation with company’s motivation profile, which will result in company’s success. The obtained results may also be useful for further empirical investigation.
