Legal status of Women and People with family responsibilities in Russia and Eurasian countries (comparative study)

Today, global changes are taking place in the political and economic life of society. We should not lose sight of the fact that in this regard, the social position of a person in society is changing. More and more attention begins to be paid to the family as the most basic unit of society that needs stability. That is why families should be given the maximum protection and support from the state. The Constitution of the Russian Federation 1993, article 38 establishes: "Motherhood and childhood, family are under state protection". On the basis of these basic provisions was formed modern labor legislation of Russia, which contains a huge list of benefits and social guarantees provided to persons with family responsibilities. In this regard, the purpose of the final qualifying work is a comprehensive study of the legal regulation of women and persons with family responsibilities in Russia and the former Soviet Union to correctly determine their legal status in the framework of labor relations and identify gaps in legislation. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were performed: the history of the development of legislation in this industry was studied; the analysis of modern sources of national, foreign and international legislation was carried out; the works of domestic scientists-specialists in this field are studied; the analysis of judicial practice is carried out. As a result of the study, the author proposes a number of amendments to the Labor code of the Russian Federation aimed at improving the legal status of pregnant women, women with children and persons with family responsibilities.
