Interaction of Development Institutions and Startups: Russia and India Case Study

In this paper, the institutions of the development of the innovation economy were analyzed, their classification was proposed, and a comparative analysis of the innovation ecosystem of Russia and India was conducted, on the basis of which ways to increase the competitiveness of Russia's innovative economy were proposed. Moreover, the interaction of the institutions of the development of innovation economy and start-ups was investigated, on account of which the problems encountered by development institutions and start-ups when providing effective cooperation were identified. In addition to this, through the use of specific cases and working experience in Russian innovation ecosystem, possible ways of solving these problems were proposed, taking into account historical features and statistical data on the indicators of the current state of Russia's innovation economy.
