The Evolution of Regional Political Regimes in the Russian Federation: Evidence from Kaliningrad Oblast

In this paper regional political regimes in the Russian Federation are explored. The case is taken from the Kaliningrad Oblast. The aim of the study is to identify key factors in the evolution of regional political regimes in the Russian Federation. This goal is achieved through the following research tasks: • to consider the regional political regime as an object of analysis; • to consider the institutional and functional specifics of regional political regimes in the Russian Federation; • to consider the institutional and functional specifics of the regional political regime in the Kaliningrad Oblast.
