The Influence of Oil Price Changes on the Ruble Exchange Rate

This paper examines the influence of external oil price shocks on Russian economy, monetary policy of the Bank of Russia and real exchange rate. The aim of this research is define how oil prices affect ruble exchange rate. By estimation VAR model we expect to identify causal relationships between oil price shocks, exchange rate monetary policy and economic performance.
