Blockchain Technology Implementation for Retail Company Business Processes Optimization

This work is devoted to the study of the blockchain technology and the implementation of this technology to optimize the business processes of the retail company. The purpose of the work is to analyze the possibility of implementing blockchain technology to optimize the business processes of the retail company, as well as to identify the limits of the applicability of technology in this area. To achieve the goal, the following tasks have been set: to study local and foreign sources on blockchain technology, to study the business cases of technology, to investigate the business processes of the retailer, to investigate the application cases of technology for optimizing business processes, to model AS IS and TO BE processes and to identify the applicability limits of this technology in the retail. The work consists of three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to a theoretical study of blockchain technology. The second chapter is devoted to a review of business processes in the retail sector, possible options for implementing blockchain technology in retail and the analysis of business cases for the implementation. The third chapter considers an example of building a business process model before and after the implementation of blockchain technology for the retail company "Leroy Merlin". The result of the work is the models of business processes AS IS and TO BE for the retail company, as well as the revealed limits of the applicability of blockchain technology in this field.
