One of the important areas of development of civil service in the Russian Federation is the improvement of the system of payment for civil servants. Monetary maintenance of civil servants is the main normative provision for employees and their families, and the size of remuneration of civil servants is one of the stimulating factors leading to an increase in efficiency and effectiveness of officials. However, now in Russia you can notice a non-competitive level of the monetary content of civil servants, which leads to their lack of motivation to work. The purpose of the study is to identify and analyze the factors that affect the size of federal civil servants' pay, and in developing proposals to improve the system of payment for civil servants.
