Sports Body as a Construct: in the Profession and Everyday Life: the Case of Female Athletes Performing Bodybuilding in St. Petersburg

This research paper is devoted to the question of designing and the semantic practices that girls put into their bodybuilding practices. The work consists of three introductions, three chapters, conclusion, bibliography, and applications. In the first chapter, the sociology of the body was considered as a field of sociological knowledge, female physicalness was studied, as well as sport as an element of corporeality. In the second chapter, the construction of the body by women athletes in bodybuilding in the home was analyzed. In the third chapter, the construction of a body by female athletes of bodybuilding in the professional sphere was analyzed. In conclusion, the main theses in the construction of corporality in the professional sphere of athletes are revealed.
