Territorial Specificity of the Mini-Hotel Market Development in St. Petersburg

In this paper, the author analyzes the spatial patterns of development of the hotel industry in St. Petersburg. The number of rooms of hotels, the services provided by them was analyzed, classification and types of premises, with division by districts of the city was made. Expert interviews with representatives of the hotel industry and tourism were also conducted to assess the consequences of the introduction of the law No. 59-FZ of 15.04.2019. The key results of the research are compiling statistics on collective means of accommodation of Saint-Petersburg, the determination of the share of mini-hotels in the hospitality industry, an analysis of the effects of law No. 59-FZ of 15.04.2019 and making recommendations to the accommodation facilities located in a residential Fund.
