The research is devoted to the study of the specialty coffee shops market in St. Petersburg. The paper considers the sociocultural approach to the analysis of markets, which allows us to most deeply understand the essence of the market from the inside through the opinions of its participants. In the course of the study, we describe the structure of the market and the ways of entering it, also we analysed the basic rules for the functioning of the market and identity designed by its participants.
