This paper attempts to discover the political dimension of texts produced by DG EAC and to establish its position regarding other dimensions by using the method of cognitive metaphors. The analysis showed that texts do contain this dimension. It has two main ideas: the superiority of the European Commission over the member states and the necessity of a change of status-quo in education. This paper also shows that the presence of political dimension in texts is not subject to any trends and it is independent of other dimensions of analyzed texts.
