The thesis paper on the topic: “Developing a financial model as part of an investment project to open a hotel in Uzbekistan” is devoted to theoretical substantiation and application of financial modeling in the subject under study by the example of developing an effective financial model for building a hotel in the city of Bukhara. In the work, special attention was paid to the development of tourism and hospitality as a strategic sector of economic development of Uzbekistan, especially in the light of the reforms carried out by the new leadership of the republic, including in the tax and investment spheres. The work also analyzed key problems (including the lack of infrastructure development) that hinder the full-scale development of the tourism industry; identified measures to address them, including through financial modeling, with which it was proved that the investment idea of building a hotel in the city of Bukhara is effective and the model can be used for practical application in the hospitality industry as a whole, with an eye to extrapolating it to other cities Uzbekistan, having tourist appeal (Khiva, Samarkand, etc.).
