This research is devoted to certain aspects of the production logistics of Oil Company. The task was to find optimization solutions for production logistic by using digital tools. This requires certain business processes, such as the shipment of petroleum products by using tank truck and water transport, and possible way to define the location of railway cistern at their paths. There are existed several notations, which were analyzed in this research. Moreover, they helped to find out the "bottlenecks" of the processes. The most convenient for these processes was chosen notation IDEF0. There were introduced KPI indicators in an aim to give a qualitative assessment of the processes, which also allow to compare the processes “as is” and “as will be”. The paper presents options for reengineering processes and an assessment of their effectiveness in terms of key indicators, with a view to sound implementation. In addition, here is presented the calculation of the economic eefect for the introduction of innovations, as well as an estimate of the approximate economic effect. Moreover, the work uses the concept “Digital Twin”, as well as processes optimized not only from the point of view of using innovations, but also from the point of view of further possibilities for implementing this concept.
