Pre-Philosophical Ideas of Liberation in Yogic Upanishads

The paper deals with the yogic upanishads as sources of ideas of liberation. Also, considers the term «yoga» and the content of this term. The paper outlines the Yoga-Sutra of Patanjali and demonstrates the place of its in Indian culture. The author emphasizes the problem of achievement of liberation: how is it possible to achieve and how to become a jivanmukti. Also, there is an analysis of the «Yoga-kundalini» upanishad and the «Yoga-tattva» upanishad. In accordance with received ideas of liberation from these Upanishads the author draws a conclusion about possible ways to achievement the liberation.
