This work is devoted to the study of emotional intelligence of students majoring in "human resources Management". The concepts of emotional intelligence and professional activity of hr-specialists are analyzed. In the process, conducted an empirical study using the author's questionnaire and the test of emotional intelligence, developed by doctor of psychological Sciences, Professor of IP RAS E. A. Sergienko, together with E. A. Hlevnoy. Subsequently, the analysis of the level of emotional intelligence of students and their ideas about its importance in the activities of the Manager of personnel management.
