Features of Talk-show Format for Sports TV Shows

The diploma discusses the features of talk show format in sports television, during the ongoing processes of media transformation associated with changes in the paradigm of modern mass media. It was shown that sports television talk shows are specific in type of discourse with the help of the existing theoretical ideas about the features of sports media, the genre and format structure of sports television and the features of discourse that are formed in television talk shows based on verbal communication. To analyze the features of the format in sports television talk show the evaluation criteria were developed and a sociological study was carried out using the focus group evaluating characteristics of individual issues of selected projects about sports and other topics (political, public) talk shows created on television and in the “network” media. To process the results of the study, Python procedures were used, using its libraries for data analysis and visualization. Based on the research, the work concluded that, in comparison with the talk shows created in the "network" media, the type of discourse of a television sports talk show is more institutional. The work is presented on 55 pages, contains an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion, is completed with 4 tables, 2 figures and 2 appendices containing a description of talk-show issues compared in the study, the list of cited literature includes 68 sources.
