Typology of Community Management Practices in the Gaming Industry

The research focuses on the main issues related to community management practices in the gaming industry. Previous research on this topic has shown that the community manager acts as a link between players and developers, but it is still unclear whose interests the community manager represents. The overall goal of this study is to create a typology of practices and determine the factors that affect the performance of these practices. In addition, it is intended to understand what tools can be used to measure the success of the community. The research presents new theoretical knowledge about community management in Russian companies. From a practical point of view, this work will allow companies to understand the role of the community Manager and develop internal standards for improving community management practices.
